Npecia is produced by Saint Michael Biotech and contains the active substance Finasteride, which is a reductase inhibitor (a treatment for hair loss in men). It is used to reduce dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is the hormone responsible for the cause of hair loss.

Effect of Finasteride

When DHT accumulates in hair follicles it leads to dystrophy and gradual narrowing until hair stops growing and the follicle dies.
